About Us
Established in 2005, Doon University is a Public State University, located in the foothills of the Shivalik range, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The University was inaugurated by the Government of Uttarakhand under Doon University Act (Uttaranchal Adhiniyam Sankhya 18). It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University is accredited with ‘B++ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Doon University offers various multi-disciplinary programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in diverse streams of education, such as Science, Mass Communication, Languages, Social Sciences, Management, Technology and Design. According to the NIRF report 2022, a total of 19 UG students were placed during Dehradun University placement 2021. Also, the median package offered to Dehradun University for UG (3-year) and UG (4-year) students were INR 3.97 LPA and INR 2.40 LPA, respectively.
